The 2019 CSLL season came to a close on Saturday, with the completion of Division Championships.   Congratulations to the Rays (A Ball), Rockies (Minors), Yankees (Majors) and Phillies (Juniors) on a great accomplishment. Congratulations to ALL of the players who participated in not only the playoffs, but in the 2019 CSLL Spring season. Central Springfield Little Leaguers Honor Veterans

On Thursday, July 5, members of the Central Springfield Little League All-Star teams and their families arrived early at Reagan National Airport to greet an Honor Flight from Central Missouri. The flight carried more than 100 veterans in town to visit the monuments. The Central Springfield Little League members gave them a warm welcome thanking them for their service to our country. CSLL Goblins Avenge Previous Loss to Reach Championship Game

Henry got the start for the Goblins, and was extremely durable, pitching all the way to the pitch limit. Bennet pitched in relief, and Leo got the save.  The Goblins bats were on fire early, scoring four runs in each of the first two innings.  They then scored two more in the third, and held off WSLL1 with defense. Everyone reached base during the game. Alex, Henry, Bobby, Ryan and Leo all reached base multiple times.  Bennet added a triple, and Tyson added a double. CSLL Goblins Outlast DTQ 7-2

The 10-12 Goblins won their first elimination game in the fun tournament against DTQ.  Prior to the game, the Goblins dedicated their tournament to the McGavin family, and between every half inning now cheer the family name as a team.    The Goblins took a 3-0 lead in the first and never relinquished control.  Led by Henry Steene starting on the mound, the Goblins' defense was tight, allowing only two runs over the six inning game.     Alex Gauzer pitched in relief, allowing no runs over 2.1 innings pit
